Looking your Best this Summer
With summer right around the corner, everyone wants to look their best. No one likes the uncomfortable feeling of wearing a swimsuit in the summer season and not feeling comfortable around other people. The good news is that this doesn’t have to be you. Starting today, you can change your ways and create the body of your dreams that everyone will love and respect. In today’s article, I am going to be breaking down how to do just that.
Your diet and what you eat is the number one thing that is totally going to revolutionize the way you look. Make sure to load your diet with nutrient-dense foods such as broccoli, kale, apples, bananas, salmon, etc. And it doesn’t have to be a struggle either. The main reasons why people cannot stick to a diet is because they don’t treat it as a lifestyle but rather a temporary way of living. If you want to build anything worthwhile like a great body, it is going to take tremendous amounts of time and effort. Implement the foods you like and switch it up regularly. Cut back on your sugar intake and all of the processed foods. If you are looking to gain muscle, get into a caloric surplus and track your weight every morning. If you are looking to lose weight, get into a caloric deficit and still track your weight every morning. In the end, don’t make it more complicated than it needs to be. It may be hard in the beginning weeks but it will be totally worth it once you see the results you desire.
2. Working Out
Your workout routine is the second most important thing when it comes to looking your best this summer. For most people, they are looking to lose those love handles and tighten up that waist. To do this, I would recommend fasted cardio in the morning. This is going to burn extra fat than your system normally would. However, don’t focus just on cardio and neglect the weights. You want to be pushing your numbers in the gym while on a cut so that you can preserve the most amount of muscle as possible. If you don’t, you will lose all of the gains that it took you months to build. Some great exercise would be jumping rope, burpees, sprints, and mountain climbers. Really any anaerobic form of cardiovascular activity will preserve the most amount of muscle and burn the most amount of fat as possible.
Anyone who says sleep isn’t one of the most important things to look your best in the summertime is completely lying to you. Sleep deprivation is a severe epidemic in America today. When you fail to get enough sleep, your body doesn’t have enough time to rebuild and recharge for the next day. Sleeping enough rebuilds your central nervous system and allows your skin to maintain its elasticity for that glowing summer look. Without it, your skin is going to be saggy, there are going to be bags under your eyes and you just won’t have the energy needed to have a great summer. It is recommended to cut off all electronics one hour before bedtime. If not, this can really mess with your circadian rhythm and natural sleep cycle. If you choose to use a device, make sure it has a blue light filter on it. Next, invest in something like a Fitbit or an oura ring that is able to efficiently and effectively keep track of your sleep. By doing this, you can implement many things to experiment if your sleep has gotten better or worse. Such an experiment may be implementing CBD oil into your system before you go to bed.
4. Skin, Hair, and Makeup
Another way to look your best this summer is to take proper care of your skin, hair, and makeup. You should use cleansers, exfoliators, and moisturizers on your skin for the best results. For your hair, try washing it 2-3 times a week and condition it regularly. To make wearing makeup easier in the summer, get lash extensions done by a professional to avoid the hassle of putting on and washing off mascara every day. Make sure your lash technician is using a good lash adhesive so they last longer. All of these things will really boost your appearance.
All in all, these are the core things that you should follow to look your best this summer.
